Thank you for your interest in Atlantic Northeast. We are excited to see your work and consider it for inclusion in our next issue. Our magazine is focused on the Northeast. You do not have to be from the Northeast to submit, but your work should relate to the region in some way. We are looking for pieces that highlight the history, culture, and spirit of the Northeastern United States and Canada.

We accept simultaneous submissions but ask that authors label them as such, and contact us immediately if they are accepted elsewhere. We’ll do our best to respond within three months. Upon publication, all rights revert to contributors. We do not charge a submission fee, and right now we are unable to pay contributors for their work.

Fiction: We welcome submissions of previously-unpublished fiction up to 3,500 words.

Nonfiction: We welcome submissions of previously-unpublished creative nonfiction up to 3,500 words.

Photography/Art: We welcome submissions of photography and art that can be included in our journal.

Reviews: We welcome submissions of book reviews of up to 1000 words.

Please submit only once during any reading period.
